Check out a South African guy by the Lagoon exit French side... just before you enter the channel there's a small jetty on the port side... if you tie up there and walk in about 500yds you'll come to his work shop..
He built a Solar/Wind Gen/Dinghy Arch for me in 2007 for my Beneteau...
a real work of art for $3,000... cheaper than anyone else on the Island

Recommend him for any Stainless work on your boat...

Saileur - I used Havin's, right next to Island Waterworld, he has a site at Havin's Marine and I can recommend him for good work. While doing my boat, a 43DS anchored next to me also wanted a mount made and, despite holidays and travels, he got both done quickly. I asked for a particularly overdimensioned one and think I paid around $1000. See D400 Wind Generator for some pictures.

Boatman61 - I never met the South African Gent, but did meet French guy with an electrics and mechanical shop about 50m inside the French bridge on the port side (no dock, you have to tie up and climb up the outside) but he does great work and is also very, very accomodating and friendly.

Saileur40 - maybe if you get mount made I can could claim a referrer's fee from him - storing my shipment for a bit until I get my boat off the hard from Nanny Cay.

Re: Shipping from Europe (Mainland) to Europe (St. Martin) Question

Funny enough that there are A LOT of shipping threads appearing at the same moment and they all end up pointing towards the company in a previous post......

Marketing?
