If you have the complete dimensions of the whole package: overall length of the trailer, width, height and weight I'll ask one of the truckers I deal with for a rate. Should be cheaper than my usual shipping since most are solvents and ship hazmat.

I'll PM you the specs as soon as I can get numbers for the trailer. Thanks!

I can't imagine you can get it shipped for less than $15,000 (and you have to wait until they are shipping down there again). But you can get a quote from Dockwise Transport.

Boat Shipping to St Thomas | Boat Transport

There are several free lance delivery capitains on here who would probably be interested and cheaper, one (Boatsman61) has already posted (shameless plug ).

Dockwise runs a regular schedule. You just drive onto their submerged ship and they pump it out. Not cheap however!

Found it: Boat Transport Tips | Dockwise Yacht Transportation
You can travel with your boat if you want.
Not sure if it was the above mentioned service or Dockwise, but 10 years ago it was less than $14k to ship a 45 footer from Florida to Vancouver BC. I wouldnt think it would even be half that from Fl to the Virgins...?

Re: Shipping Boat from Florida to Carribean

Both Dockwise and Seven Star have runs to St Thomas coming up in March. Not cheap (I will ship to the south of Martinique) but having discussed the trip with a well known delivery skipper, it does cost more money than the own keel solution but saves you a hell of a lot of wear and tear. I don't have the time to do it as I am working but the other option is to just take the time and the weather windows and do some serious exploring on the way down.

You should be aware that the Jones Act makes shipping between US ports more expensive. You may be better off shipping from Florida to one of the foreign ports in the area.

Thanks for that little tip. Just accepted a bid from a boat mover returning Ranger Tugs from the Miami Boat Show to the Seattle area. Saved over a thousand dollars on all previous bids and got a great local carrier. I am now the happy owner of the worlds nicest tender.
