Re: Salty Dawgs Caribbean Rally

I have a couple of friends in the rally, Paradox and Pandora, so I've been following along.
Looks like they've been pushed pretty far south initially and are working to make their easting as much as possible with some coming southerlies. Overall looks like decent weather so far, though I'm sure the gulf stream was a bumpy ride with the north winds they had initially.

Real time tracking is amazing technology. During the rally are many, if any, of the boats in sight of another?

We only ever saw three at one time until we crossed the Gulf Stream. One or two the next day and then nobody till we reached Virgin Gorda. You can really only see boats up to about five miles.
