Sailing from NC to St. Croix, USVI

I'm planning on Leaving fro Beaufort,NC 1/1/05 , heading to St. Croix in the USVI. I'm looking for advice for a specific route including which island to stop at and which to avoid along the way. Thanks, Scott

I lived on a boat in St. Croix a few years.
Still like the place, but lock yer boat and don't wear flashy jewlery.
