RIO DULCE INFO REQUESTED

I am seeking info on any one in the Rio Dulce area of Guatemala. In particular, haulout facilities and cost of same. I have written to Ram Marine and have not received any answers.
Also would appreciate any info on the cruising life there, expenses, mosquitoes, food, etc?
I would just like to get a feeling before I make the sail westward, although that sail does not worry me, but the return, would be........:-).
Thanks
Rich

There was a woman who joined CF last summer who kept her FP Athena in Rio Dulce, but I see she hasn't been active here since last November. Still, if you could get in touch with her, she seemed to know a lot about the place. Her handle is catbluemoon. She took such a ribbing about looking for a sailing mate here that she might have turned her back on CF, but she really knew her stuff - about Rio Dulce, I mean.

Her CF handle is catbluemoon . . . she owns a cat (Fountaine Pajot Athena) named Blue Moon. I have her email address, but it isn't my place to give that out without her permission. Sorry. If a PM to her through CF goes unanswered, just let it drop.

OK ON EMAIL

TAO
I can honor your reluctance to give out her email address. Will you consider giving her mine to answer or not, completely up to her.

Also how do I try to raise her on CF. I am new here and am not up to par on the ins and outs of the site.

Sure, I'll pass your email address along, but I haven't communicated with her in more than six months, so don't get your hopes up.

As far as how to contact her through the forum, once you log on, click on Private Messages under the Welcome, rjbwahsoune. On the page that opens, scroll down the left side to Send New Message. On the next page that opens, enter her CF address catbluemoon in the top box, some catchy title in the next box down, and your message to her in the big box. You can preview your message, then submit it, just as you would a post you add to a thread.

Assuming she ever logs back in here, she will be advised that she has a new Private Message. Who knows, could be a match made in heaven. You might want to refer back to Hi single sailors! to get up to speed first.

Good luck!
