Place to Leave a Boat for a Week on Long Islang Sound ?

Hi,

As I look out at the snow today I'm thinking about summer cruise planning. We're based at Keyport Yacht Club in Raritan Bay and head up to Long Isalnd Sound whenever we can. With work commitments we are pretty much limited to a one week cruise so I'm thinking of prepositioning the boat up in the sound one weekend then returning the next week to cruise.

The goal would be to find an inexpensive mooring that would allow reasonable access to transportation back to NJ. I'm thinking of places like Bridgeport, Greenwich, Old Saybrook, New London or Port Jeff.

Any thoughts about clubs or towns with moorings in those or other places?

Thanks,

Ken
