Paradise!

Boy are we excited,

We were headed down the Mexican Caribbean coast and decided to wait out the next norther at the little town of Puerto Morelos. We went into El Sid Marina (a part of the El Sid, all enclusive resort). The marina appears almost new and it is beautiful with concrete floating docks, a huge rock breakwater around it, wonderful showers, a great little cash resturant, a coin laundry. With the slip you also get to use all the facilities (except free drinks and food) at the resort. That includes their huge pool, beach (with beach lounges), gym, music shows, cooking classes (that right, Pat & I learned how to make El Sid guacamole yesterday) etc.

And the best part ..... it's off season and a slip is only $20.00 US per day.

I'd like to mark this one. Can you share the approach waypoint? The El Sid website doesn't provide such.

We'll be in Puerto Morelos in a couple weeks on a family vacation- and I have a couple questions I'd love answers to if you happen to know:
-is there anywhere that would rent a boat (bare) for a daysail- could be a hobie cat up to a 25-30 footer?
-is it worth going out on one of the pangas to fish?
-any great restaurants/watering holes?
-did you dive and would you recommend any sites or companies in particular?
Thanks, td1
