There is a guy who "tips" boats on one side, at least.

Seen some videos. He gits 'em through.

They can put weights on your rigging to tip the boat over, and then you're towed under that bride.

Myself, I don't want to put that much strain on my rigging, but I'd love to take the trip on a smaller boat.

Hiya Scoobie! I heard that they grow sugar cane around lake Okeechobee. I could use some ice cold sugar cane juice...yummm; too bad that it doesn't ship well. As for the tall mast...you just don't sail that lake!

I have seen the video, and it works. However it would scare the bejeezuz out of me. I would never recover.

Scoobert seems to be the kind of man who would not be scared by that, however.

Hope you like alligators, too, because there basically aren't any fresh bodies of water without 'gators in them. Quite seriously. If you have a dog, do not walk him or her by a lakeside in Florida. Okeechobee is just about wall-to-wall with 'gators.

About 22-25 degrees by my rough drawings. Happy to be told that I am wrong though.

so weighing the boat over with water on the halyards, should prove no more stress then being under power right?

Re: okeechobee lake?

Hiya Scoobie! How big is your keel? You may not be able to tip the boat to 25 degrees incline.

Re: okeechobee lake?

I'd call the Indian town marina and ask. Local knowledge.

Or Active Captain.
