Not Sure What I'll Need !?

Hey Everyone! So im planning on buying my first liveaboard when i finish
heigh school. Id like to buy it in florida and sail around the carribean. Im really not sure where to start in preparing for it, what do i need? When i visit different places do i need to have their flag?? paper work?? other stuff??

As you can probably tell im very lost, its my first time doing anything like this. Any knowledge or advice you can pass on would be amazing!!!

Aloha and Welcome aboard!
You are not the first to come aboard this forum and ask the same questions. There is a search just right after my signature that can help with any questions you might have. There is also a book recommendation there as well. To answer a couple of your questions, you'll need to know how to sail and "Start Sailing Right!" is a good book to start with. You'll need a boat. You'll need a passport and flags for each country that you visit. Paperwork would be boat registration plus anything to prove you are who you are and the boat is yours. Here's a good place to start reading too: Noonsite: The global site for cruising sailors
Good luck to you.
Kind regards,
