The Dutch ABC Islands are a viable hurricane season destination once more.

Curacao: New stimulating immigration rules

Since 10/10/2010 when Curacao got a new constitutional status as an independent country within the Kingdom of Holland, immigration rules for visitors were restricted to 90 days per calendar year.

Now after a long lobby it has officially been published in the CURAÇAOSCHE COURANT that owners and crew for yachts with a minimum length of 33 feet automatically get a 180 days (6 Months) visa.

Which means that Curacao, within the chain of the Dutch ABC islands, again is an interesting hurricane free destination for the so called “Long Term Cruisers”.

Leaving a yacht for storage in Curacao has no time limit as long the yacht is stored at one of the three by customs recognized storage companies, which are: Curacao Marine, Royal Marine Curacao and Seru Boca Marina.
