Tom-
I have never heard of the club dues. That must be new. I always pay $1/ft off season. They are a good place for storm season, JC and staff did a good job during Irene last year. Worth pricing it out to be sure.

Stayed at York River yacht haven once on a cruise, decent marina.

I don't think River Dunes is much more expensive than the other Neuse marinas, but their facilities are far better than the others. You get what you pay for. If there is no upcharge for a doublewide, could be a steal.

Good luck-

Re: NC/VA/MD Marina Recomendation

Port Williams, in Annapolis, MD, is one of the only end-of-the-road places in an otherwise pricey town.

The transient rate off-season (until June 1st) is $1/ft.night. Full-time monthly rates are what I quoted above ($305/month for 30'... $8/ft+$165). Yes, JC is a great dockmaster, but to stay at RD monthly is quite pricey. GREAT place to visit for sure!!!
