Nassua to Marsh Harbor Help.

I am moving my Cat from Nassau to Marsh Harbor in February. I have not taken this route before, any suggestions. Guessing that I stay on the bank towards Eleuthera, go through Current Cut, cross the blue water to hole in the wall and up to marsh harbor staying along the coast??

Thanks All.

Neither have I made that exact trip; but I don’t think I’d close on Eleuthera (easting) then reverse back (west) through current cut.
I’d probably take the Northeast Providence Chanel from Nassau to Royal Island or Spanish Wells, or even straight to Hole in the Wall.

Go from Nassau to Royal Island via the cut that goes to Rose Island. I think the light out to the tongue of the ocean is Chubb Light. (this is from memory). Stay at Royal and wait for weather. It's a short jump (40 miles or so) from there to the Abacos. Go in at the cut at the bottom of the Abacos. Head up to Marsh Harbour inside, about twenty miles. I've taken this route many times. It's the best way.

It is only about 78 miles from Nassau to Little Harbor which is the southern most entrance to Sea of Abaco (And home of Petes Pub, not to be missed!) but pick your window as the cuts can be tough in an easterly blow. Going to Royal or Egg Is. can break up the trip into two legs. You do want to enter Abaco in daylight.

I would use the Fleming Channel to Royal Island then up to Little Harbor. I have done the entire trip from Meeks Patch to Marsh Harbor in a long day

Thanks for the responses all. This is my first trip through the bahamas so I am sure I will be asking more advice later.
