Must-See Anchorages

Hey friends from other waves, it is official we are leaving to see our baby Raphaella from the 26Jan to the 29th March and going to sail from Trini to St-Maarten. Do any of you know of some great must see anchorages that migt interest us? We love beautiful beaches and lobster fishing. Ok we occasionally like a little beach bar but nothing fancy, just a hut with frezzing cold beer will do the job. Ahhh c cold carib with a dash of lime eating a freshly caught tuna on the grill. Gosh just can't wait. We are planning to pass by Tobago, Grenada, Petite Martinique and Bequia. Thanks for the info.

How long do you have to make this trip? I just came up that way.

Re: Must-See Anchorages

Apologies raphaella, lost track of this post. I’m off the boat till the 27th so from memory rather than my log I would recommend the following. Might be some miss spellings in there as well. If you would like more specifics I can burry you with info once I get back on the boat.

Port Louis Marina Grenada. Provision and chandleries.
Cariacou (sp?) just north of Grenada but still part of Grenada.
Tobago Cay Grenadines. Check in at Union Island.
Bequia for sure.
Dominica. North end.
Antigua
Stacia. Hike up the volcano.
Saba if conditions are right.
Then you right there by St Marteen. Having passed by many many other lovely places.

Check your cruising guides and watch for condition of swells. Some of these are not tenable in north swell conditions. All are beautiful. Check in and out will take some time though. Several countries to go through. Loved it!

Regards,

Mike

Re: Must-See Anchorages

If going to Antigua, there are a couple nice places. Just inside the "toe of the boot" in the bay just a few hours east of English Harbor. (going from memory, no chart) There is a small crescent beach there and no one else around. Also the Green islands a little further east from there.
Also, I love Le Saintes for a nice place to just chill out and visit small cafes...
