Moorings in STT

Does anyone know who I have to contact to put a private mooring in Vessup Bay area? Or do I just put one in and then deal with the govt. departments?

Think you need a permit to be legal. We spent a couple of months in the area earlier this year and the DPNR came around a couple of times looking at moorings and long term anchored boats.
