Lots of moorings at Dinner Key Marina (and some available from nearby yacht and sailing clubs, but not to the public generally). We used one for a week or two...secure, but can get a bit uncomfortable if the wind's up from the south, depending on your tolerance.

We stayed at the sailing club and loved it! The city is not protected from anything east and looked very uncomfortable last spring. The sailing club also has a tender that picks you up at your boat 24/7, we never used our dink.

Check out Leopards restaurant in the Grove, so good we stayed an extra day to go a second time.

CHeeRS!

Coconut Grove Sailing Club, monitors 78. Best deal in town. If you draw more than 5.5 come in the Dinner Key Channel

I think the Dinner Key (city) moorings are ltd. to 40' boats. The ones owned by the Coconut Grove Sailing Club may be less.

I've been staying in dinner key for many many years. Actually been there before the city mooring field was put in.
Moorings are 300 a month includes launch service showers laundry ding dock. It's a great place. The field can get a bit choppy but nothing any sailor who has sailed cant put up with. Many live a boards.
Pm me if you would like more info.
Oh the coconut grove is a little like the hotel California u can go but it's hard to leave
