Miami To Keywest

hey guys,im new at boating, i have a maxum 2900 scr which i got around 3 months ago, and i usually take it around here in miami, like the biscane area, bal harbour, star island etc. but i want to pick it up a notch. whats the best way to get to keywest from the miami river? and how long would it take? another question is also how long is the ride from miami to bimini?

Approximately 160 miles to KW. Just go down Hawks Channel.

Time wise depends on your average speed.

thanks guys!!! sorry if i sound pretty ignorant, but i guess i have to start of somewhere. any tips or suggestions, on heading towards keywest,? like places to go with my boat? good locations for anchoring etc..
