Marina Recommendations to keep boat in the Bahamas from November to April

My wife and I are looking at the possibility of sailing to the Bahamas and keeping our 43' Bene there during the winter months and sailing back to our home marina in during hurricane season. We are looking for a slip ideally where the boat will be safe and secure. Thanks.

If you're thinking the Abacos - Green Turtle Club - great old-school vibe. Several possibilities in Marsh Harbour - Marsh Harbour Marina, where the Jib Room is, is one of the cheaper options, also with a very cool, friendly vibe. Hope Town is awesome but I don't have any personal knowledge of marina options there. All this being said, Abacos can be a bit chilly in winter....

Re: Marina Recommendations to keep boat in the Bahamas from November to April

I know one couple who kept their boat at the Treasure Cay Marina, Abacos and had good things to say. Direct flights from Treasure Cay to the U.S. available.

Marina | Treasure Cay

I've read posts here by others who left their boat on a mooring in Hope Town with someone doing occasional checks.

I kept min on the hard at Abaco Yacht Services on Green Turtle and felt they did a very good job.

Fewer and fewer flights flying out of the Treasure Cay airport these days - almost everyone is using Marsh Harbour, even though it's an $80 taxi ride!

Abaco yacht services on Green Turtle Cay should be your first choice. They have just installed very heavy 4 point tie downs for all yachts on stands. The equipment is all new and the staff superb. Fenced yard with security cameras. As for TCB convince United Silver flys daily along with a large assortment of puddle jumpers.
