actually, I don't see much hope for the future. I was looking to sail it to the past where I might be able to do some good.

I meant "back to the future" the movie, where they jump to the past and become rich enough to buy many boats

Omar, quite simply you will not be able to rent a bare boat, without its normal crew, to cross the Atlantic.

There are no companies that do it, and how would someone trust you to take their private boat?

Awfully interesting request. So a one-way rental across the atlantic? In January and February?

Of course as skipper, you've checked the weather patterns etc.

Let us know if you find one.

Re: looking to rent a boat to cross the Atlantic

Hi Mark

Bad news for me
Hope to have luck and find someone that rent a bare boat.. maybe it's a good startup if there is no business like this..
Or maybe it's a bad startup that will drown in the ocean

Suggest you google "youtube, north atlantic, winter" and consider renting a submarine.

Re: looking to rent a boat to cross the Atlantic

Yeah, but the TSA is going to make them surface, take off their shoes, and empty their pockets when they approach the US coast. And in February in the north atlantic, water will probably splash in.

Have you considered just chartering a boat in the Med and not telling them where you're sailing to? Might have to hire a charter crew to get it back but as long as the boats' in good shape and they get paid, would the charter company even care?

If it were me, I'd contact the marketing managers of several charter companies and see if they'd be interested in being able to say their boat did that. They're probably not very busy in mid winter.

And if you survive the film rights might pay for the return charter.
