From memory the entrance isn't the problem, it's the area after the entrance that shoals badly. I remember watching the depth gauge at zero. I think we were pushing through muck.

its 99% sand. I can go through at dead low tide ( we draw 5.6") and sometimes kiss the bottom. Never got stuck in the marked channel

On the outside of the entrance, there is a shallow area, you can see a couple posts ago.. it is shallow to the left as you exit (right as you enter).. We have gotten suck on that sandbar more than a couple times..so as soon as you get out.. go right.. or as you are going in.. go wide left..and you should be fine
