Lagoon St Martin

Is the French side still silted in. Do you still use the Dutch side bridge to enter for the French side? If so do you have to fill out the liability form for the bridge? What is the charge?

Re: Lagoon St Martin

Heee?? whats your draft? bad news for many trying to cross from the ducht to the frech side , there is a new bridge across the lagoon , from the end tip of the airport runway .... if you are 6 ft or less you can use the french bridge , more is better the simpson bay bridge , the chanel separating the french side to the ducht side is shallow and with hig tide a 6 ft draft can make it with careful. I think if you use the ducht bridge there is a fee and customs check in etc... but many use the ducht bridge and anchor in the french side, now with the new bridge , no idea....

Re: Lagoon St Martin

There is no liability form to fill in. The new bridge (which I believe was officially opened last week) has opening times as well which are coordinated with the Dutch bridge opening times. Most enter on the Dutch side and immediately transit to the French side since the fees there are significantly less and to date the Dutch haven't charged Bridge Fees except to those clearing in on the Dutch side.
