Re: Itinerary Assistance - Exumas

I assume you're chartering out of Nassau, probably with Navtours. Your best bet is to let them plan your itinerary after discussing your preferences with them. The itinerary in your post is way too ambitious.

There is no way to plan that trip. Just go have fun.

Re: Itinerary Assistance - Exumas

You're definitely going to have fun. But you may want to prioritize your list. In other words, if weather doesn't cooperate, which places will you skip this time around or get to instead of what your plan says. We were in the Exumas last year and made it from Staniel to Nassau in 3 days, but it was rushed and I would have rather taken more time. The final crossing across the bank we had 35kt gusts on a NNE and the waves were bashing us to hell. But, it is one of the drawbacks to chartering and we had no choice. How much does your crew like to sail? How much would they want to stay put? You might have a lot more fun narrowing it down to 3 must-see spots, and maybe have a backup 4th if you get a westerly or you get bored.

Re: Itinerary Assistance - Exumas

Thanks everyone for the input!

@Vasco, you are right, we are chartering out of Nassau with Navtours so will take it up with them. Right now, we're considering changing to a one-way over 9 days to give us a bit more time, in a few less places.
