If You Had 10 Days Windward Isles

Planning a trip in the Windward Islands in December. Any help with recommendations for bareboat companies (other than sunsail/moorings) for 10 day trip? We are considering St. Lucia to Grenada, but is that too ambitious for a group that is more interested in snorkeling/rum punch than actual sail time? Would love folks' thoughts on how best to proceed. Maybe just roundtrip from St. Vincent? Any ideas are very welcome.

Re: If You Had 10 Days Windward Isles

We spent quite a bit of time in the Grenadines when we were cruising--loved it there. I'd suggest chartering out of Blue Lagoon (southern St Vincent) and sailing directly to Bequia. Then work your way down to Union Island, stopping wherever you choose along the way. Chris Doyle's cruising guide for the Windwards is a great resource for picking and choosing where to go and what to do.

Don't try to push too hard to cover distance. 10 days will go by before you know it.

Totally agree here. We chartered a new Jenneau 45 out of TMM in Blue Lagoon in 2010 and did the round trip. Bequia and Tobago Cays are the highlights of our trip. One tip though, spending the night aboard in Blue Lagoon can be very rolly.
