If Government Cut (Miami) is closed due to the cruise ship traffic....

can you still come in the inlet and proceed along the cut to the south of Lummus Island and Dodge Island to the ICW? I draw 6'.....it appears the depth is not a problem if this route is not closed also. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can take the southern (east-west) channel between Dodge and Fisher Islands to get to the ICW. But be mindful of the Fisher Island ferries which give no quarter regardless of right-of-way or burdened status.

If you're stopping in Miami, please visit my store and say hello.
