Honduras and the Bay Islands May 8-23 - Will You Be There ?

I will be sailing from SW FL to Honduras and the Bay Islands May 8-23.

Anyone else gonna be down there?

Should take about a week for the passage, then a week hanging out.

The last 2-3 days I am gonna travel inland to the rain forest and stay at a eco hotel in La Ceba.

Monday I take the local buses from La Ceba to San Pedro Sula.

Has anyone ever made this bus trip before?

This is my 2nd trip down there, can't wait!

I ran the buses in Roatan, but that was island life, not in country.

New plan!!!!!! Better plan!!!!

We are still leaving on the 8th, maybe a few days sooner if the weather is nice and everyone is ready.

But now I am staying down 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!

May 8thish till June 1st or so!

Best time ever!

But I do have room aboard for one 22-30 year-old morally causal gal....

Oh its a sailors life for me!

I spent a month or 2 hanging out on the Island of Utila one time; scuba diving and drinking beer mostly. I did catch a bus from La Ceiba to San Pedro sula and vice versa. It was, however, sufficiently long ago (1994 or thereabouts) that I do not feel qualified to comment, because things change.

A few 12 hour days in the South Florida sun working on the boat will kill a man!

All most ready!

Plan is to leave Thursday night or Friday morning.

I am flying back out of Le Cebia.
