Hawk channel

I'm heading up through Hawk channel going south from Angel Fishcreek Winds supposed to be blowing 15 to 20 from the east how should the channel be?

I'm not saying anybody is wrong (honestly), but I have been through Angelfish Creek, conservatively, a hundred times and have never seen a lobster pot in the actual channel.

Anyway, to the OP, you will be protected until the final turn, at which point you will still be fine until you leave the channel because, as others have noted, the reef and the long extended sandbanks off of Ocean Reef will flatten everything out in all but extreme conditions. Just be very careful not to stray out of the channel. Last time I was there (about 2 years ago now) there were very clear shoal markers but depth is limited far in excess of those.
