Guadeloupe - Les Saintes Mooring Fees . . .

New Les Saintes Regulations!!

No longer allowed to drop the anchor, there is about 150 moorings spaced along the islands.

Yachts over 20 meters in lenght are no longer welcome or allowed to pick up a mooring or drop the anchor.

Fees .
0 to 6.50 meters. 6 euros day or 30 week or 70 month.
6.50 to 9 meters 7 euros day or 40 week or 80 month.
9 to 12 meters 9 euros day or 50 week or 110 month
12 to 15 meters 11 euros day or 70 week or 190 month.
15 to 19.99 funy heee , 12 euros day or 70 week or 190 month.

Holding tank required, not allowed to pump overboard.

The reason for all of this changes is a well know history, your CQR damaged the sand bottom.

I just spend 1 day here , no sign of boats around in 24 hours , the place is empty!!!
No more wifi signal around , like hothothotspot, so well, a pain in the ass of place.
cHEERS..

Thank you for this information. We agree that these mooring fees are extremely high too! Wow.

The only good part is that the nightly boat bumps won't happen with the moorings now since the holding was so bad in the anchoring areas.

Wow, too bad, one of my favorite spots. Tough anchoring though... except right next to the hill by the ferry dock.

Re: Guadalopupe - Les Saintes Mooring Fees . . .

Crowded, poor holding, fluky winds blowing boats in different directions. Not the best anchorage we've been in. Moorings make sense there, I suppose. US$15 for a 40'-49' boat is way more than "free", but still pretty reasonable compared to the BVIs, and a little cheaper than the Tobago Cays.

Tobago Cays have moorings in place yes, but we can drop the hook if we want.

that's too bad. we like it there. it is a tough spot to anchor though - but certainly do-able.

as for the Tobago Cays, you can anchor there, but you still have to pay the park fee regardless.

Cheers
