From Marathon FL to Green Turtle

I'd like to make a couple of overnight anchorages / marinas. Please tell me all you know about the route.

I went that exact same route once. Went from Marathon to West End, decompressed at WestEnd GB, then WestEnd GB, to Great Sale, the Great Sale Cay to GT.

I personally didn't like that trip, we motored mostly to WestEnd, the stream and all the ships traversing the stream left a lot of rolly seas. Now whenever I need to make it I go up the No Name in Miami or leave from West Palm.

Mike, We have left Marathon late afternoon, crossed to South Riding Rock then across the banks. There are really no anchorages unless you go up to Key Biscayne and cross over to Cat Cay leaving just before daybreak. Depending on the speed of your boat you can anchor in Honeymoon Harbor near Cat and cross the banks to maybe Chub the next day. There is also a marina at Cat Cay that you can stay and also check in. You can anchor on the banks but you really want settled weather. At least 2 and preferably 3 day good weather window is desirable.

Anchored near Russel Beacon (twixt Cat & Chub) in company with Grand Banks 42 Motoryacht ("Corso Avanti"). Just the 2 of us at sundown, but about a dozen by next sunrise.
