First time

Hey everyone! I am new to this forum and new to the world of cruising. I am just starting to look at a Caribbean cruise for my wife and I. Can anyone give me any advice on what I should be looking for? Any sites? Etc. I really have no clue where to start.. How do I get airfare included? Any and all help would be great appreciated!

Thanks, Bryan

Re: First time

Google it!...Cruises Caribbean. If you've never done it before, check with a travel agent. If you are a do it yourself person, buy the most recent Frommer's travel guide ... "Port of Calls"...which can help you decide. You can also go on frommers.com and type in the search box "Caribbean cruises"; it will give you all the details you need. First off, get your passports if you don't have them yet; online application is available, but for a first timer do it in person at your local post office. Good luck! (Disclaimer: NOT affiliated with Frommer's in any capacity.)

Thank you for the reply. We already have passports. We usually do the all inclusive route for our vacations. Looking forward to something new.

What are some of the better stops? I saw one that goes from Florida to Ocho Rios and Grand Caymen. Any thoughts?

Re: First time

The best one I took started in Puerto Rico, then Dominican Republic, Barbados, Martinique, St Martin, St Thomas and back to P.R.

Second best was Galveston, cozumel, Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Galveston.

Both were Royal Carribean, which I prefer over Carnival.

The 24 hour buffet on Carinival is an excuse to get fat

I think its better to pick an island and stay awhile, I lived in Antigua for a couple years, wish I could go back. Stayed on Grand Cayman for a week, and loved it very much.

Even better rent a boat and sail from island to island.

Best is own a boat and sail anywhere you want

Thanks for the feedback.. Only issue I am having with the cruise is the limited amount of time on each island
