Re: Emily: TD, TS or Hurricane . . .

Ah...sad to say I wish I was in Grenada watching ships pull in...it would mean I had cast off lines and sail away. Alas, I'm in Florida...land-based still...but watching the models closely. It's so funny...I was so naive when I moved to Florida several years ago, a simple little girl from the Midwest. I bought a home 4 (FOUR) miles inland thinking that should protect me from the storms, right? Look how far from the ocean I am....it's an 8 minute drive!! I was used to storms like we get in KS...that are a few miles across in measurements, not a few HUNDRED Be safe, all. SOO much better to be a "phobic" and safe than sorry. I'll be watching Emily closely.

Re: Emily: TD, TS or Hurricane . . .

Its doing weird things... or maybe its doing nothing.
Moved 240 nms in the last 12 hours - 20 knots.
Is only 270 nms from Martinique. Heading towards Martinique to Dominica just with squalls to 30 knots.
