Re: Crossing the atlantic in a 21 foot FLATS boat

Agreed. It is yet one more publicity stunt with a boat that the media correctly ignored this time...pretty much ignored. The good thing is that a child was not soloing this time.

Hopefully others who are considering doing dumb or dangerous things with boats will learn that if they try it then the media might ignore them as well, therefore removing the reason for doing such a thing in the first place.

Hopefully the media will learn that covering dumb or dangerous stunts involving boats only encourages people to take bad risks....I doubt it though.

It's those folks who row across that have my admiration for minimalist, hardcore ocean crossings - and they do it in proven boat designs.

Re: Crossing the atlantic in a 21 foot FLATS boat

1 person took a jetski and another person swam the atlantic. That must have been an interesting swim
