Conditions at Bimini Inlet

Has anyone been through Bimini inlet recently? Are there navigation buoys in place? I plan to arrive Thursday afternoon on a falling tide. Am I going to be able to get 5 ft of draft in, or will I need to hang outside for the night.
Thank you for any insight.

You shouldn't have any problems. When we came through about three months ago it was well marked and deep. Just watch the marks..

If you are talking about the channel between North and South Bimini I was there last week. The channel was dredged last fall and I didn't see anything shallower than 12'. The last red buoy light was out when we were leaving and it gave us a real start. Have fun! Were are you going to stay?

Thank you for the info. It sounds like a very manageable entrance. Based on active captain reviews, I will stay at Browns or Big Game Club, whichever has a slip for me.

We liked Brown's and it is less expensive by half. Be sure and eat at Big John's next store.

The times we were there this year we stayed at Bluewater Marina and can vouch for it as well.
