Check on a Boat in St. Martin / Surveyor?

I posted this sometime ago & got no response. So thought I'd try again

I'm looking to buy a cat in St Martin. But would like to get an idea if its worth my time & $ before commiting to a trip down there.

Any of you in the area that would want to take a look for me?

Conversly is there a surveyor/pro on the island that would spend a half hour looking her over for a nominal fee?

Or can anyone recommend a surveyor?

Thank you

Eric

Try getting a hold of Bay Island Yachts they may have some advice? I used a surveyor on the French side by the name of Heber. He hangs out at Oyster Pond Marina.........i2f

Bay Island Yachts

Try Heather Underwood of BIY who sold my yacht for me. She is extremely Knowledgable and will be able to point you in the right direction.

Where's the boat at? I'll be attending my survey in Simpson Bay Lagoon next Tuesday and Wednesday. My broker is Ziad at Harel Yacht Brokers and he is a pretty decent guy. My surveyor is David Duong, who also runs Horizon Yacht Charters there. If the boat is close I'd be happy to look at her, otherwise I can get you e-mails for these guys.

The boat is in Guadeloupe; surveyor recommendations???

Thanks for the replies folks. I've since learned the boat is being chartered and will only be available for viewing on March 6 or after March 28. I'm not clear if it will be in Guadeloupe or Martinique on those dates, I'll find out. So now I need a cat surveyor in that vicinity. Any suggestions???

I would still get a hoild of BIYs, and ask. They work all over the Caribbean, not just St. Maarten.........i2f
