I can't recall
having seen Antiguan charter
boats apart from the Sunsail base in English
Harbour. Considering the length of your charter, you might think about chartering in St. Martin (easier to get to from Germany
than Antigua) and sailing from there via St. Barths and perhaps St. Kitts / Nevis
to Antigua and then back (perhaps via Barbuda). While Antigua is beautiful and the protected Green Island (Nonsuch Bay) anchorage is one of my all-time favorites, I might plan on sailing around a bit.
I'll ask some of the locals I know if they would recommend a local company.
p.s. I just recalled that Guadeloupe
would be better and closer for chartering a boat, you could fly into the airport
, take a cab to the Point-a-Pitre marina where there are numerous charter companies, then sail up the west coast
to Deshaies one day and then do the 5 hour crossing to English
Harbour in Antigua the next day.
p.p.s. Ich beantworte auch Fragen in Deutsch, aber in den öffentlichen Foren muss hier Englisch geschrieben werden.
