Cat Wanted to Charter - Live Aboard and Learn to Sail BVI or Grenadines

Hello all,

I am looking to learn to sail and then bareboat for a few days. I am a novice with some experience and looking for a small cat 35' more or less.

I don't need luxury or A/C. I am looking for a good budget cat with good skipper and schooling technique.

Budget being the word here please. BVI or Grenadines. PM me with rates.

"Budget" charter/sailing instruction is going to be a challenge to find. TMM, whom I've worked with in the past, offers ASA classes out of their Tortola base. You could bring your individual charter costs down by booking with a group of friends.

Keep in mind too that you often get what you pay for, some illicit cheapo charter operator is not likely to be your best option for an instructor (or your best charter experience).

Thanks for your reply.

I understand the limits of my budget ... but there you go.

Cheers

Find out if the schools have ASA or US Sailing cirriculum. Some Charters prefer these standardized certifications.

Good Luck!

What do you consider a "good budget"?

I know the Moorings in the BVI offers ASA courses, but they would likely be on a Monohull. Not sure how it would work with time following the training though.

Good budget would be $2000 US all in for low season. ASA needed.
