Well, it made my laugh anyway, and that's what counts.

Btw, the owner was contacted, is getting photos, but probably won't salvage due to cost. He's building a new boat for the next Route de Rhum.

Just as I get sick of hearing people say "Sure, [mutihulls] can cross oceans, but I prefer to stay upright". I own a monohull as well, so I fear sinking. If I owned a multihull I'd fear capsize.

I probably wouldn't want to salvage a boat that had been adrift up-side down for a year either. The anti-fouling paint is on the wrong side to be any good and I can only imagine the mess growing under the water.

I'm not sure how the winches would have faired, but they must have cost over 20k a piece. Might be worth a look.
