Cancun / Isla Mujeres - Checking-in

I will be traveling with a friend on his 40' Cat to the Cancun/IM area around the first of April. I will be getting off there and he is traveling on south. My question is: are there marinas in Cancun that we can check in at? There appears to be more marinas on IM that serve cruisers. We will probably stay a night or two before he leaves.
I guess I am just looking for local knowledge as to the best place to be for the one or two nights. I can always catch the ferry over to Cancun from IM.

Thanks

There are a number of marinas you can check in at in Isla Mujeres, el Milagro, Paraiso, Puerto Isla Mujeres, Marina del Sol, etc. Call on 13 or 16 for a slip or anchor out in the harbor and dingy in to the Port Captains dock. There are 2 ferries running every 1/2 hour to Puerto Juarez (Cancun).
