BVI Charter Company Ratings

I have chartered several times in the VI, both out of Red Hook in the USVI with Island Yachts (Island Packets) and Horizon out of Nanny Cay, Tortola. I'd like to charter ideally a Leopard 40 in February 2015 out of Tortola, but Horizon say they are not going to have that available. I'd like to find a reputable charter company to work with, and wondering if anyone has some recommendations.
I'll take the boat for two weeks and have 3 couples one week, and 5 adults and 2 children the other week, hence the Leopard 40 sounded like the ideal size.

Contact Ed Hamilton & Co. They will find you the right boat at the right price with the right company and then stand behind their work. They are very good at what they do and can arrange your entire trip including flights. just like any travel agent they get paid by the charter companies so no extra cost to youa nd you usually end up saving money like we did the 3 times we used them.

Sunsail and The Moorings are in Road Town. Obviously reputable. Obviously not the very cheapest that you could possibly find.

I don't know if they have, specifically, a Leopard 40, but they have a wide variety of sizes of catamarans.

Re: BVI Charter Company Ratings

Only company I've used is Moorings/Sunsail (now we own a boat in moorings). They certainly would have a boat that would fit your needs. Sunsail 444 might be the best option and a fun boat as well with the forward cockpit. On the lower end of the budget, the Sunsail 384 would work as well - just each hull shares a head. 444 each of the 4 cabins have their own head. I'm not sure if they still have an of the Moorings 4000 or 4300's left - these are older but would work if available. Footloose could be an option as well as they get the old Moorings boats.

Plenty of other companies to choose from as well. If you do look at Moorings/Sunsail, take a look at owners time on - you can get 30-40% off in most cases.
