Budget Marine Grenada

Can someone tell me what additional cost to buy from Budget Marine Grenada verses St Maartin. I am US flagged.

While I haven't purchased in Grenada, I have used Budget Marine in several different islands and each reflect their country's import duties and tariffs and they are generally more expensive than in Sint Maarten. Grenada, unlike Sint Maarten, is not a duty-free location. The store discounts, if any, are also location dependent.

+1, buy in St. Maarten for best price and assortment. The Budget marine in Grenada did some pretty horrible things to cruisers after hurricane Ivan too; bad vibes. I preferred Island Water World in St. George when we were there.

The duty in Grenada is quite small, less than 3%.

Indeed, but it is not just the duty: prices are higher even before duties are added. Same for IWW.

Its not much more than the catalogue price. You get duty off when you register you boat papers.

Budget marine Grenada, i believe, is a franchise not a company owned store and can set what prices they like.

Ace Hardware is close and Island Water World is there too to compare prices.

If interested, join Granada cruisers group on Facebook. Lots of information about buying locally and importing. It is very easy to import parts from the USA. I imported batteries last February.
