bringing food to bahamas

it is allowed to bring vegetables and beef with you on airplane to bahamas

I see people doing it all the time on private aircraft. If you are coming from the U.S. And flying commercial you should check the TSA website for a list of banned substances. I've never seen the Bahamian officials have an issue importing any type of food.

I met an American expat who now lives fulltime in George Town who said he flies to Fort Lauderdale several times a year and comes back with coolers full of frozen meat. He said it cost less than buying it locally. I didn't get the impression that he was talking about flying his own plane, but I could be wrong.

Anything except fresh fruits, vegetables and dairy products can be brought into The Bahamas. All meats must be canned or frozen.
