Best place for Dental Work?

I need to have a couple of dental crowns replaced and was wondering where the best place to have them done would be, thinking of cost and quality. We are heading to Suriname, Guyana, Grenada, Trinidad/Tobago, Colombia (Cartagena) and Panama (Canal passage). Any recommendations on where to go, or warnings on where not to go would be appreciated.

Without a doubt, Colombia. Highly skilled and very high tech and low price.

Panama is also good but price is higher. I believe both are better than regular EU or USA dentists.

Re: Best place for Dental Work?

Thanks for this, Jedi. Just had work done in Cartagena by Dr Philipe Frieri and am very pleased with the quality, service and price. Recommended.

What was the price for crown? I had some dental work done in St Lucia, much cheaper than USA 1700ecd per crown

Re: Best place for Dental Work?

Had a friend get root canal post and crown under $200us in Domincan Republic.
In the US add $1000 to that even with great insurance But again our healthcare is a joke

Mexico is also quite good; my family lived there for a dozen years and used local services for 1/4 the cost of the US and same quality. Indeed much of the equipment is newer and the Dr's tend to speak good english.

I need major dental bone grafting and implants due to a mad dentist trainee at the VA...would you trust those countries (columbia/Mexico etc) to perform surgery at that level?

My wife had bone graft and two implants done right here in Colon and is 100% happy with it. The specialist travels to participating dental clinics for the procedure and uses one of the major American implant systems just like you get in the US.

So, a Dentist can't do that job but the specialists are available and they are good. I'm pretty sure same goes for Colombia and Mexico as well as all other latin countries here. Enough people who can afford it.
