Re: Best BVI Bareboat Charter Company?

we haven't used the others, but I would definitely go for Horizon Yacht Charters!

Re: Best BVI Bareboat Charter Company?

I chartered with The Catamaran Company a couple of years ago. The boat was in very poor shape and they had clearly not looked at it before I arrived. None of the electronics worked, genset kept tripping, one engine overheated etc etc. I even read an article in a major magazine which talked about some of the same troubles with the same boat. The base was also very scuzzy. Didn't even consider them when it came time to buy my own boat and put it into a charter fleet. I looked very closely at Horizon, based on comments from a work colleague who always used them. I also checked out DYC and TMM. Horizon seemed to have the most professional approach, TMM a very close second. The Horizon base at Nanny Cay is fantastic. Great restaurants, the best showers I've used in the area and a good selection of shops. The boats appeared to be better maintained.

As a result, I put our boat into the Horizon fleet and would definitely recommend them.

Chartered with Conch Charters in BVI in 2013. Cat was in good condition but a little tired. Service/attitude was ok, but not great. Will try moorings next time. I only read good things.
