Bahamas - Yellow Tail Snapper Fishing ?

I'm off to the Abacos for a couple weeks and would love to incorporate some yellow tail snapper fishing into the trip. Does anyone here have any advice on bait, locations to catch them time of day, technique, etc. I've always been a fresh water fisherman, so any advice is much appreciated.

I have a telescoping spinning rod and some yellow jigs.

Don't know about the yellow-tails, but if you can find some mangroves, flip your jig up near the roots and work it back toward the boat. I've caught mutton snapper that way on Culebra.

Ive caught lots of them in that area by chumming the reef using light line about 12 lb test and a small hook float a little squid on the small hook and you can get as many as you want this way.
These guys will come up to the back of your boat after you start chumming, 30-50 feet of water
