Bahamas in the Summer

Thanks to all for the info as well. Any advice on converting an "above Hatteras during Hurricane Season" to an all season policy? I just got the quote from my agent and it about doubled my current policy to stay during hurricane season.

Summer is great. You can recieve good weather forcasts and there are many more places to hide and moorings available if a storm approaches. In fla there are too many restrictions on anchoring and too much stuff flying around!!

I spent a whole year swatting mosquitos one summer night in the Berry's! The ONLY time I go to the Bahamas is in summer!

we love summer in the bahamas---few boats thus uncrowded anchorages/ warm water/lower winds/the locals have more time to play w/ us....hurricanes?..been in 6 and only one in the islands after 15 yrs of summers in the out islands...plenty of hurricane holes and some protected marinas...c'mon down---you'll love it too...
