Bahamas - Grand Lacaya Waterway

Our power cruiser has a 4 foot draft. I hear the north outlet of the Grand Lacaya Waterway is shallow. Will I be able to get through at low tide, high tide only, or not at all. Thanks.

You likly can make it at high tide I used to go thru all the time- but its been years, I had a 3' draft- be careful about a mile or two north of the Island for rocks just under the surface -near a small cay

Second what Ram says. I did it some years ago in a power boat with 3'6" draft and had no problem but also went through on high tide. The tide in the banks lags the tide on the ocean by an hour or more, depending on location. Going through on a rising tide should give you the best shot.
