Re: Atlantic crossing

Most do that passage in May or June. The weather in the North Atlantic along the preferred route is generally pretty bad before then.

Re: Atlantic crossing

Hi Andy,

Its too early to go. Needs to be May/June.

About 10 people were killed last year on that trip so its one to ensure is done at the correct time.

Re: Atlantic crossing

Why not send her a plane ticket? As a cruiser I have had requests from individuals for passage. I figured there was not a big upside to the proposition and there could be a huge downside, as no good deed goes unpunished.

The downside is arriving after a 20 day passage and having immigration tell you that your crew, the one you did a favor for, is not welcome in country. Then they prevent you from landing and a major hassle begins.

Sint Maarten to Paris with Air France seemed pretty reasonable last time I did it.. a tad over £500...
