Anybody Heading for the Acores from the Caribbean ?

Hi folks,

We're preparing to leave from USVI's to the Azores and, weather permitting, to the south of Portugal.

If anybody is leaving on or around the 16th (weather looks fine) and would like to "buddy boat" (definition still to be established but let's say for now "loosely coupled, exchanging weather info"), please contact us, we have a winlink account, callsign is pa2q.

I was amazed that the Arc Europe still left from Tortola with no wind on the nose, confused seas and a vicious low over Bermuda. They really do that.

Cheers,
Len.

The harbour here in St.George is full of ARC boats. Doesn't appear to be much damage. For the last week we had NNE to W oscillating, 15 to 25 knots.

When will they leave for the Azores?

Thanks,
Len.
