Antigua v. SVI bareboat

Been to the BVI numerous times (love it). Looking for new adventure. A week in February. Looking for mix of restaurants/bars and low key. What are some thoughts on a week in the SVI v. Antigua/Barbuda?

Many thanks!

Re: Antigua v. SVI bareboat

I like Antigua. There are numerous beaches and pretty anchorages as well as things to do ashore. It is quite different in feel to the USVI and BVI so if you are really looking for something new then you should try Antigua and Barbuda.

If you are asking about the SVI you will find an incredibly low key sailing area with a nice mix of restaurants and isolated bays. The only downside is that you need to understand there are no marinas and thus no place to top up tanks. The charter company I work for in St Thomas sends boats there regularly. Many of our boats have watermakers so there's no need to be water mizer if you don't wish to be. Prices are much lower for food and drinks when compared to the USVI and BVI. I find the residents very welcoming too. There just isn't the charter pressure over there, yet....
Enjoy your trip wherever you go.
