Stopping in Antigua and leaving boat for three weeks. Would appreciate Marina recommendations.

Re: Antigua

We left Callisto at Jolly Harbour. We liked it. There is a casino there that I found a little obnoxious but it has a nice grocery store, a chandlery, a yard with a travel lift and it was reasonably priced. It is also well protected. If you hand around there for a while, there is a pretty anchorage just past the entrance Jolly Harbour (Heritage Bay I think) and it is close to Barbuda which is VERY cool and well worth the visit if you are going to be that close.

Re: Antigua

Jolly Harbour would be my choice. Another possibility is the Catamaran Club in Falmouth. I've used both and was pleased with the experience.

Re: Antigua

Jolly Harbor is a great place. We spent a little over two months there on and off.

Jolly Harbour generally better protected than Falmouth or English Harbour.

Re: Antigua

Is price a factor? A slip at Jolly will be a lot more than anchoring your boat in Falmouth and having a company do "guardiennage" on it. Falmouth is well-protected and has good holding. English is even better protected but the holding outside is bad and inside you might not find any room.

In Faltmouth the Catamaran Company docks as well as those at the Antigua Yacht Club would offer dockage for a month. I remember pricing both and the ones at the Antigua Yacht club were surprisingly inexpensive (and you might get docked next to the Maltese Falcon, "A", or any one of many classic megayachts).
