Hey guys, thought I'd ask for some advice from more experienced cruisers.
We're in Isla Mujeres MX (Cancun), and we're going to head
south. Seems like we're getting a pretty steady east wind
all the time as expected. I see three options.
(like everyone), but we don't really want to do the Rio.
2) Head direct to the bay islands and then pray we can beat our way out on our way further south after a short stay.
3) Just try to head straight to Providencia.
to Providencia is long and I'm not sure how much beating it will be, but do you think its worth it to do it in a straight shot and avoid all the tacking from the bay islands?
Also, thoughts on the current
we'll be fighting? We had a hell of a time with the gulf stream
in the yucatan
