On our 47'
trawler, we have spent several winters in
Abaco and want to
head to the
Exumas this year before heading north again. It appears that a typical way south consists of staging at Lynaryd Cay then off to Spanish Wells. We are planning to leave in mid May, 2011. What is the best
weather pattern for this course if it is a reasonable approach? Are there other better routes? Our
trawler likes a following sea. Is the ocean swell typically from the north at this time of year? We have also heard that the
marinas, restaurants, and
food stores all do not accept credit cards, is that the case? are travelers cheques a good alternative? lastly, winters in
Abaco are bug free, what should we expect in the way of temperatures and insects?
